With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.  The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.  And when the centurion who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!”  Mark 15:37-39 (NIV)

Hanging on a cross, designed to smother you in the way you were hung, Jesus cried out, not in a timid, quiet voice, but with a LOUD voice, then breathed his last.  This is power!!  The power to boldly cry out, to speak out, to make known beyond a doubt who’s you are is power.  When Jesus died, the temple curtain was torn from top to bottom.  Notice it was not torn from bottom to top.  Jesus tore this veil from the top.  That is power!  To be called into the holy of holies, knowing that it is now open for all to enter by the blood of the Lamb, that is power.

So many people are sucked into the covens of satan seeking the power that only Jesus can truly give.  However, we have so removed the power of Jesus from our churches and our teachings, that no one sees the true power of a life of service to the Lord Most High.  We must speak loudly of the power of the Lord Jesus.  We must begin to cry out in a loud voice to save our loved ones from death and hell. We must show the torn veil of the temple.  We must meet the cry of the Lord Jesus to call those who are lost to be found in him.   We must learn to walk in power.

Father, I have to have your leading as we learn about the power of serving Jesus.   Father, I confess that I have not been taught the power of the Holy Spirit and the power of serving Jesus.   In Jesus name, you teach us from your word what the power of God truly is and how it applies to our lives.  In Jesus name, you lead, you speak, you write and let nothing of me interfere.  In Jesus name, take us to the scripture that you know we need to learn from.  In Jesus name I glorify you.  Let no eye look to me, for I am a mere mortal.  Rather, draw all eyes to Jesus.  In Jesus name, amen Lord and amen.
