My heart has been torn from slumber over the disasters that this nation has endured in the last few weeks.  For those of you who have lost loved ones, I pray that you find the peace that only the Lord Jesus Christ can give you.  My prayers are with you, America.  President Bush, if ever you needed prayer coverage, this is the time.  A nation praying is a nation united, "One Kingdom,  under God, with liberty and justice for all."  Come, America, unite.  Let us become that Kingdom, one more time.  Our hope does live on.  His name is Jesus!  He lives now and forever more. He, alone, is our hope.

Hope Lives On

Once the towers stood proud and tall

Then to our horror we watched them fall.

Lives were changed on that fateful day.

Lives were lost, we heard them say.

We cried, we wept and we mourned.

Garments of mourning adorned.

In prayer we united, barriers came down.

We lifted this nation to the one with the crown.

Hope lives on.

A nation was drawn to its knees.

Hope lives on.

The God over all, He sees.

Our hope lives on.

He  heard our cries,

Saw the tears in our eyes

And hope lives on.

The God of creation is He.

The God of the brave and the free.

On Him we were founded,

In Him we are grounded,

As we walk where our forefathers trod.

In the land they claimed to serve God.

From this day on, we must not loose sight

Of the one, Jesus, the only true light.

'Cause hope lives on.

A nation was drawn to its knees.

Hope lives on.

The God over all, He sees.

Our hope lives on.

He heard our cries,

Saw the tears in our eyes

And hope lives on.

In 1962, the Supreme Court made a decision that has led to the removal of God from public schools and many other places.  This same God is the very reason our forefathers were so willing to die for the freedom to serve him without being censored.  Since that decision, made by the courts of this land, we have seen a rise in teen pregnancy, such as has never been before, divorce is in alarming proportions, murders have increased, lawlessness abounds, and we see wave after wave of destruction upon this great land.  Now, as the nation has been called upon to pray, it is time to rise and let our voices be heard.  Of all things, America needs to serve Jesus without reservation.  We must have those religious freedoms on which we were founded.  America, we need Jesus!  There is a choice that must be made this day.  Who do you serve?  Do you serve Jesus or do you serve Satan?  As for me, I choose Jesus!

This battle is not a battle of flesh and blood, although the toll will be counted in that way.  This is a battle on the heavenly plains.  This is a battle that must be fought, first and foremost, on our knees.   The time has come; the battle lines are drawn.  Take up your arms and fight.  Take your armor out of the closet, polish it up and put it on.  Put the oil in your lamp, trim the wicks, look to the east and watch the hand of God.  This is our finest hour, church.  This is what we have been training for.  Pray, church.  Pray, oh Bride!  Pray and watch.  The time is now!  Unite as the Lord has prayed.  Forget all the squabbles over this doctrine or that doctrine.  Forget the color of the carpet and the pews. Rise, Bride of Christ, come and fall on your knees.  Seek his face.  Do not let go!  Jesus is still on his throne and we have read the end of the story. Jesus is the winner and those who serve him are on the winning team.  Arise, Bride, arise!  Serve those around you as Jesus did.  Reach out and help others.  Share what the Lord has given you.  Pray and encourage one another.  Make Jesus proud, Bride!  Come, let us join together in prayer.

Father, forgive us for being lukewarm.  Lord, do not spew us out of your mouth.  For nearly forty years we have wandered in the wilderness alone.  We have slept when we should have been waiting on you.  Lord, we long to see your blessings.  Those blessings that will not pass away.    You have issued a call to unite, to pray, to seek your face. We seek your face, do not turn us away.  Father, lead us as you did the Israelites.  Lord, show us how to reach that Holy Mountain.  Let us dwell in your presence as you lead us into the promised land.  Forgive our  failings.  Give us boldness in this time of need.  Let us step out on faith as we minister to those around us.  Let us boldly take the message of hope to a lost and dying world.  Place upon us the burdens of your heart.  We loose your good and perfect will in this land.   Lord, I lift those that are hurting this hour.  Holy Spirit comfort those who mourn.  Encourage those who are discouraged.  Give us your strength.  Father, right now, send your wisdom to our president as he strives to follow what you would have him to do.  Surround him with warring angels of protection and send the ministering angels to minister to him.  Father, in the blessed name of Jesus, we praise you for when we do not understand, we know that you are still in control.  We trust you, Lord.  In Jesus name we pray, amen and amen!

The Statue of Liberty still stands.

The flag still waves.

America, bless God for he is alive and well on his throne.

He, alone, is our hope!
