From the Darkness
When darkness seemed to take me
and it's grip would not let go
and I cried aloud with suffering;
the pains did beat me so.
I felt alone and fearful
that I could not take control.
No matter how I tried,
I could not ease my soul.
Then a whisper soft and gentle
touched upon my heart,
"Let go my child and give to me
so anguish can depart."
T'was Jesus, my dear Savior,
Who called to me that day,
and led me from the darkness
for he had paved the way!
There is light, love and laughter
when he sweeps the bond away.
Don't keep your troubles with you.
Let him take them all away.
