Sit at my Right Hand
The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand.”
I said to my Lord,
“You do not understand.
Oh, how can I sit
When there is work to be done?
I have no time to sit.
I have no time for fun.
I am oh so busy,
Running to and fro
And you say to sit.
How could that be so?”
The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand.”
The Lord said to me,
“Yes, I understand.
I call you to sit,
To watch and to pray.
Do not be defeated,
Tomorrow or today.
I call you to sit,
To rest and wait and see
For the work has been completed.
It was done on Calvary.”
The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand.”
I said to my Lord,
“Now I understand.
I have been too busy,
Running here and there.
Satan is defeated!
Think I’ll pull up a chair.
I will sit and watch.
I will wait and pray. I see!
The work has been completed.
It was done on Calvary!”
