GOD IS GOOD AND HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER!

MY EVER PRESENT LORD!


I felt the Lord’s presence,

At the beginning of my day!

His love overwhelmed me,

As I knelt down to pray!

Warm tears of joy,

Trickled down my face,

As I realized I had entered,

A most Holy place!

I asked God at noon time,

For a blessing on my meal,

And at the mention of His name,

His presence was so real!

I prayed in the evening,

As the sun was sinking low,

“Lord, I thank you for each blessing!”

“Why You love me I don’t know.”

Then, when the day had ended,

While retiring for the night,

Once more I spoke His name,

As I turned out the light!

MY LORD AND ME


Lord, I’m just a mortal man,

So insignificant and small.

And though You are God Almighty,

The Maker of us all,

I can approach Your throne of grace,

With my petitions in my hand,

Knowing You won’t prejudge me.

You will listen and understand!

Why You would save a wretch like me,

I may never know.

You took a heart so stained with sin,

And washed it white as snow!

You found me on life’s trash heap,

And made me a vessel You could use!

Then, You gave me the great commission,

To go forth and tell the good news,

That Jesus died on Calvary’s hill,

A wicked world to set free.

And those who sit in darkness,

Through faith now can see!

Some day I’ll look upon Your face,

And hear You say, “Well done!”

“You’ve fought the fight and kept the faith!”

“Welcome home, my Son!”

FORGIVE ME, LORD


When in answer to Your call,

May I always give my all,

But, should I happen to stumble and fall,

Forgive me, Lord!

If say something absurd,

Repeat some gossip I have heard,

Or even utter an unkind word,

Forgive me, Lord!

If Your search light of love should find,

Evil thoughts in my mind,

Would You ever be so kind,

And Forgive me, Lord?

As I journey on life's road,

Headin' for my Eternal abode,

If I grumble about my load,

Forgive me, Lord!

If life brings me so much pain,

That I'm tempted to complain,

Help me to refrain,

And forgive me, Lord!

In the darkness of the night,

When no help seems to be in sight,

If I should waver between wrong and right,

Forgive me, Lord!

If I've ever been to blame,

For causing any shame,

To Your Holy and Righteous name,

Please, forgive me, Lord!

OH, HOW MUCH I OWE


Lord, as long as I shall live,

Honor to Thee I will give,

For all you have done for me!

My voice I will gladly raise,

With humble heartfelt praise!

Oh, how wonderful it is to be free!

Once I was filled with doubt.

I couldn’t find a way out,

Of satan’s awful prison cell.

My life was filled with shame.

Sin was to blame.

I was definitely on my way to hell.

But, then one happy day,

You passed by my way,

And You were a sight to behold!

I called out Your name in prayer,

And with tender love and care,

You brought this lost sheep,

Back into the fold!

Lord, I just want to say,

That I’ll never be able to repay,

The debt of love I owe to You.

But, I’ll try just the same,

To glorify Your name,

In everything I say and do!
