Making A Difference

Lord.....when the celebrating is finally done....after the last champagne bottle is emptied.....when the last person has gone home.....when the night is still and silent, and as we begin the dawn of a new millennium, I ask you to bless us all.

To forgive all that we have done wrong in the past, and help us to be better people in the future. We are all as one, even though you made us each just a little different from one another. We all have a purpose here on this planet for whatever time we are here. It is only temporary, just a short time in the scheme of things.

There are many things that happen unforeseen to us, things we didn't count on, things that hurt us so, and things that almost make our hearts burst with happiness, but only you know the way, just like the sky knows the rainbow. Just like every living thing except man, goes the way it is supposed to go as part of the plan. But not man.....no.....man fights it.....argues about it..... challenges it..... life.....every step of the way.

Oh if we could be like the birds and beasts, each knowing the right way.....how much easier it would be, not rushing our fate every step of the way. It's already been planned.....a long time ago. Nobody needs our permission! It is, as it is, and God's way will be done.

We can only ask.....

Please Lord.....let us in.....

God! tonight, I pray to you.....

asking you to send angels to help us, help

me.....help me to help someone.

If I can make a difference in only one life Lord,

then let me see that one life.

Let me see the one person I need to reach.

Show me that lost and lonely soul.

I pray, oh Lord...

for your guidance

in all I do and say, to try,

with your help,

to make a difference.

I pray with all my heart,

that...I can.
