Easter

Hi there, Mr. God. I'm so 'cited!
Easter is almost here an
I getta find the Easter eggs
The bunny hided.

I really know that bunnies
Don't lay eggs (giggle). That's funny.
What I don't know is, why does the momma chick
Give her eggs to the little bunny?

Daddy was tellin' me 'bout Jesus
An 'bout dyin' on the cross, one day,
An how, on that Sunday mornin',
He rolled the stone away.

He was really strong, I bet'cha,
'Cause the soldiers put it there.
But then, Jesus came out all brand new an clean,
An was walkin' in the garden, there.

Daddy showed me a picture
How he died. It made me cry.
I don't un'erstand why, but daddy says,
"And then, he just went up in the sky."

An now, he's back home, with you,
An I bet'cha you're glad he's home, an
Someday, I'm comin' by your house ta live.
Daddy says the Bible tells me how.

I can't read yet, Mr. God.
But, I can print my name a bit.
Daddy says you gotta a great big book
An I wanna put my name in it ...

So as I can live up there.
I need ta print a little better, though.
I don't wanna mess up your book.
I wanna write it good, so as you will know.

Daddy says I can ask Jesus ta take my sin away.
So, I'm askin', right now, Mr. God, please, Sir.
I'm sorry I was born ta be bad. But, momma says
She is glad you gave me ta her.

Momma says you carved my name
In Jesus' hand, that day. So,
When I get ta your house, I'm gonna kiss him
An love Him. That's what I wanna say.

Well, thank you, dear Jesus, for all you do for me
An thanks for letting me talk ta your daddy.
He's really nice, like you.
So, have a Happy Easter, from little Andy.

And, O yeah!
Thanks for the pretty flowers, taday.
Bye, for now, Mr. God.
