Grandpa's Leavin'
Hi there, Mr. God.
I am feeling awful sad.
Grandpa's so sick an
Daddy says it's really really bad.
Momma an daddy have been crying.
They say he's gonna leave.
I don't know where he's goin';
But not heaven, they say, 'cause he don't believe'.
I don't understand that, at all, do you?
Grandpa's really nice an all;
Somethin' about he didn't give his heart
Ta Jesus at some altar call.
Please, Mr. God, ya love ever one.
Ya must love grandpa, too.
Could ya give him one more chance,
So he can do what he needs to do?
Grandma's always prayin'
An callin' out grandpa's name.
If grandpa isn't goin' ta heaven,
Things won't be the same.
I'm sure he's a listenin'.
Could ya call him, one more time?
He is so quiet an sick;
Maybe, you can make him feel fine.
Please, Mr. God, it's your house.
Can't he, please, come in?
Daddy says he needs forgiveness
Ta take away his sin.
So, please, let him come there;
If ya would, please, Sir ~
'Cause when the time comes for grandma,
He wants ta be with her.
I guess I don't really know
What this is all about.
I just know I love grandpa
An I don't want him left out.
I'm goin' ta talk ta him
An tell him ta speak ta you.
Will that be good a'nuff, Mr. God,
So he can come an live with ya, too?
I'm sure gonna miss him.
I feel like I'm goin' ta cry.
Please, Mr. God, Oh, please,
Don't let my grandpa die.
Well, I gotta go, now.
Daddy says we're goin' ta pray with him,
That someone, called the Holy Ghost,
Will take away his sin.
I sure hope that happens.
I know you'd want that, too.
So, help my grandpa find his way
Ta heaven ~ ta be with you.
Tell Jesus I said 'hi' an
Give him a hug, from me.
Thanks. I love You.
