vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.

Our Call to

Is not this the fast that I have chosen?
to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo
the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed
go free, and that ye break every yoke?

Isaiah 58:6

Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Psalm 82:3

Next Time ...

divider

I am all alone, now,
Don't know what else to do.
Can't look you in the face
'Cause it's all red, black, and blue.

I should have watched my mouth.
I could have done my best.
Next time, I'll be more careful.
I'd better get some rest.

If you see him in the church choir,
Don't tell him you were here.
A wife must be obedient.
Things will be better next year.

How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep,
and one of them be gone astray, doth he not
leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the
mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?

Matthew 18:12

If you've been given Spiritual gifts for ministering to others, otherwise have a calling on your life, or are a Christian who does not yet know God's plan for you (though He does have one) ... God does not change his mind; no matter evil's method of prevention (Romans 11:29). Never doubt the importance of your calling. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. 1 Corinthians 7:23

And when marriage "FOR LIFE" is so engrained in one's upbringing, it comes down to 'kill or be killed', and you finally take a flying leap into the unknown ... much to your surprise, God will not strike you dead. Instead, after a time of healing, He gives you a better life than you had before. And when this occurs, you know something is wrong with man's interpretation of scripture.

None-the-less, some still shout, "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder!" as if it would somehow bring God honor for others to see your disfigured body. More than likely, God did not join such a couple together in the first place. Though, even if He did, it was the abuser who put the marriage asunder (whether such abuse was physical or emotional; the emotional being even more damaging. But either way, it is not God's will that any perish.)

And for some, your mate's act of infidelity is that 'moment of truth', when you 'know' you have God's blessings to escape (having done all to stand) as there is no marriage to save (1 Corinthians 10:13).

It is not our call to try and separate marriages because only God knows who will be receiving miracles. But when having heard from God, it is the unfaithful partner's heart that is too hardened for true repentance. Also, it is them who choose not to 'live with' you: how God created you, your calling, or the purpose of your creation (not the other way around). In a divorce of such circumstance, they would have done it to themselves (Proverbs 29:1).

And of those who can receive that, some will still sentence you to a life of imprisonment; to never marry again. It is good if you can remain happily divorced/single, as you will have so much more freedom in serving God; but only if it wouldn't be grievous (1 John 5:3). For, if you are in bondage, it is not yet the truth for your situation (John 8:32) as God's word for you will be individually based upon the needs of your heart (Hebrews 4:12).

Jesus opens up the scriptures so you can understand God's intent (Luke 24:45) and sets those at liberty that have been spiritually bruised (Luke 4:18). And once your love for your mate is dead, that liberty is granted. You are no longer under the law, but are free (1 Peter 2:16) to remarry (1 Corinthians 7:39, Hosea 3:1); only, do not get entangled in an unequal yoke, again (Galatians 5:1).

I share this, not for controversy but, to say
God will always do the most loving thing possible and
I am not ashamed of what He has done for me.

- Break Every Yoke -

In all the ways He has loved me,
He wants to love you
in your time of need, too.

It has been said 'Christian soldiers' is the only army that shoots their own wounded and, as a people, we tend to live up to that statement. Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! Whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

If thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

The kingdom of heaven is
like unto treasure hid in a field.

Matthew 13:44a

Not laws tattooed into hearts of stone,
but the words He ministers to your heart.

2 Corinthians 3:3 (par.)

When their judges are overthrown in stony places,
they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

Psalm 141:6

Rejoice at thy word, as one
that findeth great spoil.

Psalm 119:162

Little children, ye have known the Father.
Your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

1 John 2:12-13

Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted,
and become as little children, ye shall not
enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18:3

If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. The world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. John 2:15-17

Open Doors

I came to your doorstep, all tattered and torn;
Regretting the day I was even born.

You opened the door wide and said to come in.
You talked of Jesus, said I could trust Him.

I got down on my knees and began to pray,
Still am rejoicing you were there that day.

Your seed has blessed me much more than you know.
I'm giving you thanks by helping it grow.

Someone came to my door, just the other day.
I gladly opened the door all the way.

that reapeth may rejoice together.
