~ Humble Yourselves ~
David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the Lord God. And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them.
Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished. And so Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them.
And Solomon said, "O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in." And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
And Jesus says, unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high, Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children.
Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

I will put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this,
how that there are certain men crept in unawares, who
were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly
men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and
denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
