~ My Shepherd ~
(Psalm 23)
My Shepherd loves me.
My Shepherd leads me
where I need never be hungry.
I follow Him to the still water
where I am not afraid.
He sings and talks, and calls me
by my name; He restores my soul.
Even when I am gravely ill,
especially then, deep in sorrow’s valley,
He comforts me and convinces me of
His Presence, so that all fear must flee.
Before those who despitefully use me
and slander me, He shows His favor and
anoints me with his soothing oil and
satisfies my hunger with a plenteous table!
My heart runs over with adoration for Him!
Surely His goodness and His mercy will
stay with me all the days assigned to me
on earth and at last, finished here,
I will dwell with Him forever and forever.
Selah!
Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and
scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.
