What Would You Give?
If help had vanished and love were lost,
Hope turned to sorrow before a cross …
Songs gave way to cries and screams,
Children were lost (as well as their dreams) …
Fire and flood had taken its' toll;
What would you give in exchange for their soul?

Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time;
as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
That which hath been is now; and that which is to be
hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
~ Paupers or Kings ~
I pray you to take some meat: for this
is for your health: for there shall not an
hair fall from the head of any of you.
1.) Devils ...
Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt: Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
(A man's enemies are the men of his own house. By their fruits ye shall know 'them'.)
Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
2.) Tongues ...
I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
3.) Serpents ...
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers.
4.) Death ...
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. For whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed.
5.) Laying on of hands.
If I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon
into blood, before that great and notable day of the
Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever
shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:
(Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name.)
And his name is called The Word of God.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were
framed by the word of God, so that things which are
seen were not made of things which do appear.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword.

The Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent
them two and two before his face into every city
and place, whither he himself would come.
1.) In my name shall they cast out devils ...
If I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
2.) they shall speak with new tongues ...
He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
3.) They shall take up serpents ...
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law.
4.) and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them ...
If any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
5.) they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure. Avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel ... Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

The Holy Ghost God hath given to them that obey him. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. The Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say. And ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. In blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Ye, beloved, build up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
And the seventy returned again with joy,
saying, Lord, even the devils are subject
unto us through thy name.
By their fruits ye shall 'know' them.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
And when the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick.
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but
the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to
every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall
be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

The merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn
for no man buyeth their merchandise any more.
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the
Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords,
and King of kings: and they that are with him
are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Beloved, I wish above all things that
thou mayest prosper and be in health,
even as thy soul prospereth.

THE KING
Psalm Sunday
Today, He is entering Jerusalem;
People waving palms to welcome the King.
He rides upon a colt yet unbroken,
Deliverance we hope He will bring.
See how they wave the way
With shouts of Hosanna, King Jesus.
Finally, a Jewish King
To rule and reign over us.
Funny, I mused.
Why a king on a colt unbroke,
The man that talked in riddles
Of a Kingdom, not of here, He spoke?
Oft times He would tell us
Of His Father's Kingdom, but where?
What mysteries he offered
Of a narrow path to go there.
Yet, we followed this His loyal army;
A band of misfits at best, seemed to me.
There was the blind, the lame and the deaf; sinners all.
How could they win a military victory?
He seems a humble natured man
With no riches from family.
Even so, it seemed to me
He had the look of deity.
I watched as He healed the lame, gave sight to the blind,
Hearing to the deaf, and raised the dead -
And food of fishes and loaves
As the thousands that He fed.
I marveled how they followed and
Sat in hush as he read the law,
Telling us to render unto Caesar what is his yet
Threw the money changers from the temple. 'Tis what I saw.
You should have seen that;
Upturning tables, coins spilling everywhere,
With loud admonition, "My Father's house
Shall be called The House of Prayer!"
The priests were angry
And questioned His authority,
And how they sought to stone Him for insurrection;
A blasphemer, a demon, wine bibber. But, was He?
He did claim to be sent from God
And once said, "My Father and I are one,"
That He would go somewhere without us
When His mission here was done.
"Hosanna," hear this praise,
"All Hail King Jesus.
Come deliver us from the oppressors of Rome.
Come and reign over us."
Over there is Martha and Mary, and Lazarus.
Remember when He raised His friend from the dead,
For days buried in the tomb but came forth
Just as Jesus said?
Never had a King such power
That could defeat with just a word.
I guess it could be so,
If even the very dead had heard.
And there is Mary, the prostitute.
She used precious oils to wash His feet.
He saved her from a stoning.
Such is the way when sin and mercy meet.
There's the centurion
Whose child was healed by just His word
And the poor lame man who had no help
To get to the waters when it was stirred.
But, why would a real king ride on a colt unbroke
Into the city, today?
Why didn't He come on golden chariots
With mighty stallions to clear the way?
I wondered,
"What would this new week bring?
Would he establish Kingship, Lordship, Royalty
He that would be King?
As I watched this exciting gathering, I asked myself,
"Is he demon, blasphemer, haughty, filled with pride
Or King-Deliverer, Forgiver, Healer, Son Of God?"
I leave it to you. You decide.
