~ Psalm From the Heart ~
Holy Father, through whose word my spirit
opens as a bubbling brook, how I praise thee.
How excellent is Thy presence in which my soul
learns joy! Peace speaks and brings
stillness where tumult once resided.
Oh, my sweet and gracious Father of all mercies,
help me to know new ways to worship Thee.
Thou hast brought me out of that dark pit,
covering me with thy glorious wings.
Listen to the song of my heart, Oh, Lord!
When my soul was undone and confusion bent
me low, Thou, Oh, faithful Father, fed me bread
of hope; lifting and healing my wounded heart.
Continue with me, lest my foot slip and I lose my
way. Glory to Thy name, Oh, LORD, MOST HIGH!
Fill me throughly, sweet Peace~Speaker, that
those cast down will see and long for Thee: as
Thou showest Thyself a Refreshing Fountain in
a dry and thirsty land. Praise and exultations I
lift to Thee, my Lord and my God. Great is
thy name and greatly to be praised!
Whenever I find the world closing in upon me,
my tender Shepherd, fold me in with Thee.
Remind me from where Thou hast brought me.
Hast Thou ever sent me away empty?
Nay, nay, my Lord and my Father.
Thou fillest me with purest delight!
