~ We are all children of the most High. ~

Psalm 82:6

If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if
thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth. Proverbs 30:32

You Can Only Save Yourself

Give Them All to Jesus

Sequencer Unknown

If I let my mate have their way, they may treat me better. If I pray long and hard enough, maybe they will go to church. If I share everything I am learning, perhaps some of it will rub off. If I am completely obedient and submissive, they will get saved.

But, God says - you can not save anyone but yourself (Ezekiel 14:14).

If I choose my children’s friends, I can guard their influence. If I keep them at my side, perhaps no harm will come. If I teach them about God, from dusk until dawn, they will never stray. If I do home schooling, I can keep them from the evil one.

But, God says - you can not save anyone but yourself (Ezekiel 14:16).

If I study all week, my Sunday School class will receive my lesson. If I speak with tears and emotion, they will know all I say is true. If I keep insisting what I believe, they will finally get it. If I serve all over the church, others will, too.

But, God says - you can not save anyone but yourself (Ezekiel 14:18).

If I dress just right, the world will know I am a Christian. If I let people walk on me, they will know my God is real. If I do everything perfectly, others will follow. If I give away all my possessions, they will want what I have.

But, God says - you can not save anyone but yourself (Ezekiel 14:20).

Do you suppose God knew we would not get it the first time?

Our outside appearance does not mean anything until it is a by-product of what is on the inside. Our faith is not to be in who we are, but in who God is. If we put all that focus and energy unto our own spiritual growth, just think of all the great things we might accomplish!

When our relationship with God is first on our list of priorities, He gives a very special promise. He will leave a remnant for those we love (Ezekiel 14:22).

I seek not yours, but you.

2 Corinthians 12:14c

~ The Lord Knows ~

divider

The Lord knows all the grief and pain you suffer,
For He became a man and suffered too.
Because He feels your sorrow and your heartache,
He wants to give His peace and rest to you.

Just lean on Him and let Him bear your burdens,
And trust Him, for He knows what's best for you.
Believe His Word and claim each precious promise,
For everything He promised He will do.
