Words of Life
The Bible is the Word of God,
Still fresh through all the ages;
But we must read if we're to find
The wisdom in its pages. - Sper

We don't change God's message-His message changes us.
The Bible contains:
The mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and
the happiness of believers. It's doctrines are holy, it's precepts are binding, it's
histories are true, and it's decisions are immutable.Read it to be wise,
believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to
direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the
traveler's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the
soldier's sword, and the Christian's charter. Where paradise
is restored, Heaven opened, and the gates of hell
disclosed. Christ is it's grand subject, our good
it's design, and the glory of God it'd end.
It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and
guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully.
It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure.
It is given you in life, will be open at judgment, and be remembered forever.
It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor,
and condemns all who trifle with it's holy contents.

QUOTE
When you can't see the hand of God, you must trust the heart of God.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Bible Minute Daily Devotional Sixty seconds in God's Word daily |

As I sat alone last evening
Thinking many wondrous things
Thinking of the peace and comfort
That the Holy Bible brings.
Written on those precious pages
Of the Christ of Galilee
How He died to save all sinners
How He died on Calvary.
In it you will learn life's beauty
Learn to love your neighbor too
The Book most precious through the ages
It will light the way for you.
Read it's pages,
don't delay
Give your heart to Christ this moment
Kneel beside your bed and pray.

Special to God
As Timothy rode
home with his mother, he began to hum a song they had sung in Bible club that
day. Then he sang the words. "Jesus loves me, this I know." Timothy stopped
singing and looked at his mom. "Does God really love me?" he asked. "Oh, yes,"
Mom assured him. "God loves you very much." "Why?" asked Timothy. "Why does He
love me?" "Well . . ." Mom pointed to a picture Timothy held in his hand-a
picture of flowers, grass, and trees. He had drawn and colored the picture with
great care while in class. "That picture is special to you, isn't it?" she
asked. "Why do you like it so much?" Timothy looked at his picture. "I made it,"
he said proudly. Mom nodded. "It's something like that with God," she said. "He
made us. That makes us very special to Him. I think it's one of the reasons He
loves us." Timothy smiled. "God likes me the way I like my picture," he said
happily. "He loves you even more than you like your picture," Mom told him.
Timothy again gazed at his picture. "Even more," he repeated. "That's a lot,
isn't it, Mom?" "Yes, it is," said Mom. When they got home, Mom helped Timothy
put the picture on his bedroom wall where he could see it every morning when he
woke up. And every morning it reminded him that he was special to God.
