Everlasting Grace
by: Greg Belcher 2001

In the beginning God created the heaven and earth.
And the earth was without form, and void;
and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said let their be light:
and there was light.
(Genesis 1:1-3)

As sinners, we are without form in our life.
There is a void in each and everyone of our lives
and we grope in the darkness of iniquity to find our way.
The darkness is upon all of mankind.

And the spirit of God calls unto us and moves upon the waters of our lives.

Stepping out of a world of sin and into the presence of God brings us into the light of our Saviour. It is, as with any change, hard for some to accept. Most are afraid of failing as christians, to be cast down in front of others. But as each life is surrendered to Jesus, we find the peace that we all so earnestly seek after. It is treasure that cannot be compared to.

It is through Grace that we are saved.

For God so loved the world ,that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever beleiveth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    (John 3:16)

Grace is the Son of God dying on the cross for every person that has ever lived. No matter how wicked and deceitful, Jesus calls them to him.
For He came to save all of mankind.

Grace is the free gift of eternal life we will all share with our Heavenly Father and His son.

Grace is when God doesn't cast us out when we fail Him.

Grace is God accepting us back into His fold when we have strayed from Him.

Grace is a small still voice that quiets us in severe trials and grief.

Grace is knowing that Jesus is standing beside us all the way.

Grace is the sense of our Saviour's presence when he walks into a room and passes by us.

Grace is the fire that burns within us. The Spirit of truth that teaches us all things.

Grace is the Holy Spirit God gives all of His children. A Homing beacon that directs our life towards Him. Through the darkness of a dying world, It points us towards the eternal light of our Saviour.

Grace is the Door of Salvation that the death of Jesus opened to us at Calvary.

Grace is the Light that burns through time infinite. It shines more brightly than the sun on Resurrection Morn.

Grace is the breath of life that we awake to every morning.

Grace is sailing through trouble waters and seeing Jesus walking on the water towards us.

Grace is the calming voice of Christ saying "Peace be Still" to the waters of strife in our everyday lives.
