A New Year Is Coming Soon

Another Christmas has rolled around
Another year has passed
A new one now is coming near
And here twelve months to last

So many faces today I see
And hope to see them still
Through all the year that's coming in
Let's pray it is Gods will.

And if one life should fade away
Within the year to come
May it be blessed to rest in peace
In a restful heavenly home.

Not doubt the walks of man are brief
To brief for many a soul
Left for them only to decide
What shall be their goal.

'T would be sad to close our eyes
Of all the beauties here
To open again in another world
And there, - no beauties share.

Let's all be ready to answer the call
When the judgement day does come
That we'll awake and hear our name
Well done! Now welcome home.
