A SAVIOR’S LOVE

My Savior came and died for me,
Upon a cross on Calvary
A crown of thorns upon His brow,
Oh friends, behold my Savior now!

My Savior’s face is shining bright,
In my soul a constant light
Oh, if you need that light today,
Turn not my Savior’s voice away.

The sword that pierced my Savior’s side
Brought crimson blood before He died
His blood was shed for you and me,
To wash us white and make us free.

He bore it all our souls to save,
His life for us he freely gave
The cross was heavy, our Bibles say,
Our Savior bore it all the way.

We’ll bear our cross and praise His name,
Oh Christians now, do not complain
For He who died that we might live,
Let’s all the glory to Him give.

It matters not how vile you’ve been,
That crimson blood was shed for sin
And from my Savior’s side did flow,
To make your souls as white as snow.

Yet you must ask if you should find,
For we were all at one time blind
Now sinners when He pleads with you,
Yield yourselves, He’ll guide you through.
