PRECEPTION

The sun in all its splendor,

To us its light does render,

In a universe so tender,

With God as its Defender.

For we humans to partake,

All the world but for our sake,

Beauty only He did make,

To give to others, not to take!

         Though we can sense as by sight,

None can measure His great height,

For He dwells in unseen light,

God of Peace and God of Might.

Pray tell, how then can it be,

Throughout all of history;

The most elementary --

You perceive, but cannot see?
