To be at Peace
Have you ever felt so alone in life?
And looked up at the evening sky,
As the stars are twinkling.
Lord take me home tonight,
I’m thinking for this pain is all too real,
I cannot cope with more,
Oh hear my cry Oh, Lord above,
And lead me to your shores,
Surround me in your loving arms.
Let me hear your angels sing,
Now they take me by the hand,
And lead me through the gate,
Cry no tears for me on earth,
I’m happy in this place,
There is no pain and all is well.
Such beauty everywhere,
I hear the sounds of angel’s songs,
The gardens are all around.
I have one of my own to tend,
Without the pain I’ve known,
I am at peace here with my God.
I wait for you to join me,
Our family that have come before,
Are also waiting with me,
So smile and be happy,
For I am truly glad,
Finally at home.
The only home I ever really had.
