HELEN

So long ago it seems you came into my life,
My brother took you to be his sweet wife.

So young and so pretty with dark glowing hair,
I can see how he would fall for, One sweet and so fair.

I knew not you suffered, your life as a child,
When we were young, I knew only the wild.

You were in my life for just a short time it seems,
We were not to learn of, each other’s dreams.

We now know we admired the qualities of the whole,
We did not realize that we had found a kindred soul.

As life sometimes has it, we each went our own way,
But God knew that we would come together some day.

One day on my computer and from out of the blue,
There arrived a strange email, didn’t know it was you.

I pondered for days HHUMMEL? Who could that be?
It hit like a hammer, old X Helen, I’m too stupid to see.

So I sent a reply, hey Helen, Is that really you there?
Now we chat together, we each know that we care.

It ‘s been only a while that you’ve come back in my life,
It does sorely grieve me to see your pain and your strife.

I want you to know and I am not trying to be coy,
You have brought into my life, your own special joy

I think of you often, to the dear God that I pray,
You will find relief from your suffering each day.

Know that we’re cared for by Angels each day,
Should it come to pass that we go different ways.

Please be assured, you are tied to my heart,
And forever we will never again be apart.

When time finally comes that we’ve finished our chores,
I know that we will meet again on God’s sunny shores.
