Rain
The day is dark and cloudy, The rain is pouring down, It started sometime through the night, Oh, How I love the sound,
All is very quiet, No wind outside to hear, Only rain as it falls, From the sky not clear,
The farmer he is smiling, As he thanks God above, Little children jump and play, In puddles full of mud,
Cars splash up the water, As they go rolling by, The people who are walking, Don’t care if they stay dry,
For many days have come and gone, Since this good rain came down, And everyone says thank you Lord, For answered prayers abound,
All is fresh and lovely, The gardens so refreshed, As leaves glisten on the trees, I thank the Lord, for this reprieve.
