I Spoke to God Today

Today I sat and talked with God,
I asked him for his guidance,
I told him of my troubled heart,
And all the hurt inside me,
He gently took my hand in his,
And we talked awhile,
I know that I can help thee,
And so we sat together,
On a cliff high ore the ocean,

And watch the sunset, Him and I,
Together said devotions,
And as I told him of my woes,
He looked into my eyes,
He said if you’ll just trust in me,
All will turn out fine,
So we stayed a while longer,
Just to see the waves rush in,
And see the stars up in the sky,

Oh! The wonder of Him.
