Streets of Heaven
Someday when we are in Heaven,
Oh so happy and so bright.
There’ll be perfect joy and beauty,
In His ever lasting light.
Oh, yes, it will be worth it,
The grief and sorrow past.
We’ll be at peace forever,
When we’re home with Him at last.
He will come Himself to meet us,
When at Heaven’s gate we stand.
He will smile and say, "Come In,"
And we’ll take His loving hand.
So when life is not so easy,
And we think we’ve had our fill;
Just remember Jesus loves us,
And trust the Father’s will.
There is work for us to do here,
So we must not idly stand.
For when our work is over,
We shall rest in the promised land.
Oh, yes, it will be worth it;
When He gently calls us home.
Oh the joy of that sweet meeting,
When on Heaven’s streets we roam.
