My God is Real

I Love my country this I know

For off to war I did go

I lived dangerous I lived wild

Then one day I became Gods child

He opened my eyes His beauty to see

My Lord and my God all around me

My friends and my foes would you join me

Then His beauty you could see

See the flowers across the land

All were made by Gods loving hand

Smell the fragrance of the rose

How this was done only God Knows

See the clouds up in the sky

God made them all in a day gone by

See the mockingbird in the tree

God gave him song just for me

There once was mist that watered the ground

Then God gave rain and let it come down

God made the garden This much we know

He placed man there to watch it grow

God made a man from the dust

To keep the garden was a must

From the tree He made fruit to bare

But of one tree man was not to dare

Man was naked and did not know

He ate the fruit and his sin did show

God made man a coat of skin

Sent from the garden to return never again

God blessed the man and his wife

She conceived a child a new life

Then one day she had another

To the first he was a brother

To one was given the sheep to keep

The other to till the land without a peep

His brothers life one did take

The law of God man did break

For the sin of man we must pay

There is coming a judgment day

I hope you are ready my dear friend

For the day you will face the end

Gods son was nailed to the cross

If not so all would be loss

From the cross Gods fruit did bare

From that cross His love He did share

My God is real this I know

From the cross His love did show

He opened my eyes that I might see

The blood of the cross was shed for me

I have no Fear night or day

I am assured God made a way

In His presence we might stand

Please my friend take His hand
