That Glorious Day

The place was called Calvary
They nailed our Lord to the tree
It was there He gave His life for you and me
Thru our faith Sons of God we could be
A crown of thorns upon His head
Up Calvarys Hill He was lead
They pierced His side I have read
Not a bone was broken yet He was dead
Now Joseph took the body that day
Laid Him in a tomb where none did lay
Yes for my sins He did pay
He gave His life to make a way
Now the tomb was nigh at hand
At the enterance the soldiers did stand
In the Upper Room the Disciples did band
Oh what grief through-out the land
It began to dawn the first day of the week
Now comes Mary and Mary to take a peek
In their hearts all was bleak
It was our Lord they did seek
Now the angel rolled the stone
All could see His body was gone
Never more will we be alone
Because our Jesus is on His Throne
