Strengthen the Stokes-Isaiah 54

Isaiah 54 is one chapter in the bible that talks about faith and allowing the possible to happen in the impossible.
God's expectations are greater than the expectations we hold for ourselves.

God is the season of the possibility - we often live in the season of impossibility. Often times we do not allow God to move in and through the impossibility.

How do we make the impossible possible.

Isaiah 54
Verse 1

"Sing, O barren,
You who have not borne!
Break forth into singing, and cry aloud,
You who have not laboured with child!
For more are the children of the desolate
Than the children of the married woman,"
Says the Lord

The greatest of trials presents God with the greatests of opportunity. God can and will take us in our weakest hour and do his marvels.
In Old Testament times it was a terrible thing for a woman to be considered barren. The woman was mocked and considered a second class citizen.
As a young girl grows up she is preparing for motherhood. If this doesn't happen the sparkle will often dwindle
Expectations for a miracle often becomes lower
Life can become waiting after waiting for a miracle to happen
the more the birth of a child is awaited on the more it seems impossible.

Isaiah 54 verse one is asking the barren women to embrace the impossibility and bring it into the possible. What God is saying as illustrated in Mark 11: 12-25. We have the right to come before God out of season and bear fruit. You see everything in life requires a greater force applied for action.
    Sin/Saviour
    dark/light
    impossible/possible

The first thing that Isaiah 54 commands that we break out and sing
Disapointment/singing
You come to a place of where you have peace over the impossible. Sing in your barrenness and release the promise of possibility.

If the devil can take your song he can take your life

    Barren woman sing
    Break forth into singing

It is not enough to come to peace. But we need to challenge the challenge or declare the possible amongst the impossible.
Cry aloud - expose it and Declare your faith. Often we may secretly pray for a miracle in our lives but never share our pain with others.

Verse 2

"Enlarge the place of your tent,
And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings
Do not spare;
Lengthen your cords,
And strengthen your stakes

The boundaries of faith are not set by God but by man. God gives us faith that knows no boundary. He is able to d exeedingly abundantly above all. but we put fences around our faith.

Verse two tells the barren woman to prepare for the miracle.

Step out and build a crib. Don't give up even when the miracle seems no longer possible.
Give whatever you have for that miracle to occur.

This point is illustrated in 1 Kings 17:11-16 Elijah came to poor widow and asked for her remaining morsel of bread. The widow gave all she had to the stranger. And God provided for her and her son throughout a famine. She and her son were facing certain death and she gave all that she had in an act of faith. God was faithful and her oil and flour never ran out.

If you have let go of something that you know because you know that what you want is within Gods will for your life. Challenge the challenge. Let the impossible become possible. Break forth into singing and cry aloud and declare it. Not only this but prepare for your miracle. Enlarge the place of your tent and strenghten your stakes.
