If only we all gave a thought to others
Even our mothers and sisters and brothers
There is always someone worse off than us
Some are starving so why should we fuss
Most of us have food and a bed
Also a roof that goes over our head
What about people who are so poor
Those who have no home and sleep outdoors
There are some who watch their children die
Through lack of food it’s for them we should cry
So next time you are tempted
To say “that’s enough”
Please think about others
And things may not seem so tough
