God, Are You There? "God, Are you there?" I caught myself saying "Can you hear my call.... ...and all of my praying?" These tragedies in life, Were not all expected Please, direct me, dear Father, And keep me protected. Please, help me each day And be near my side Lead each turn in my life My footsteps, please guide. Let me learn to live more By what you would have me to do Than think I do the planning And living, as I do. I know in my heart You have all in your plan To brighten our lives I must simply understand. Please, once again, Lord, Bring peace to my soul Replace frowns with smiles Reminding me of my ultimate goal. I fight so deseperately To find peace here each day Yet knowing true peace In Heaven does lay.
