My Testimony

Before you take a tour through my web site, let
me tell you a little bit about myself, and in doing so
you will become a part of "My World"

I was raised in a home where my Mom took my older
brother and me to church every Sunday. My Dad would not
attend church with us and was very rude to our pastor
when he would come to our home to try to lead him to the Lord.
My Mom never gave up on him and she continued to take my
brother and me to church.

This was not an easy life, but finally in 1970 my
Dad's eyes were opened to the fact that he needed
to accept Christ as his own personal Saviour and he did.
Thank goodness, our pastor never gave up on Dad.

After this, my Dad went to church and believe you me
his feelings toward our pastor changed from hatred to
love. In Feb.of 1993, my Dad passed away and is missed
very much, but I know that one day I will see him again
in Heaven. Oh, what a wonderful day when we will see our
Saviour and all of our loved ones who have gone on before us.

As for me, I came to know the Lord as my own personal
Lord and Saviour, when I was 6 years old. I was baptized
in a creek, can you believe that? I remember how happy I
was to know God and how I wished that I could just open
up everybody's heart, so they would know Him, too.
Oh, how I wish that we all could always know this joy.

I have never been a very materialistic type person,
as I feel that my God shall supply all our needs
according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Times
are changing so rapidly and people never stop to think
that today may be their last day here on earth and where
they will spend eternity. What is a man profited if he
shall gain the whole world and lose his soul? To me, it
seems that people in general have become too materialistic.
We should stop and smell the roses.

Look around you and see the wonders that God has
created, and the wonderful things He has given us. The
greatest thing on earth is to know the Lord as your own
personal Saviour, and this is a gift.

Ephesians 2:8,9 says,
"For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that
not of yourselfs: it is a gift of God: Not of works,
least any man should boast."

The Bible also states in James 1:17 that every good gift
and every perfect gift is from above. Man may have the
greatest job on earth and wealth, but still not possess
the wealth of a pauper on the street. Money can not buy
one salvation, love, health, contentment, and many, more
of the more important things in life.

If you have gotten so wrapped up in the rat race of life
then get down on your knees and give God all the
glory for what He has done for you. If
you are not saved and would like to accept Christ as
your Saviour then pray this simple prayer:

Dear Lord,
I know that I'm a sinner. I believe Jesus was my
substitute when He died on the cross.
I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and
resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Saviour.
I thank you for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of
salvation and everlasting life. Turning from my way of
life to His. Give me grace and strength to live for Thee.
In Jesus name: Amen

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by
faith. Believe and you will be saved. No church
membership, ceremonial acts, or good works can save you.
God alone does all the saving.

Once you are saved, there are some things you should
begin to practice daily for spiritual growth:
Find a good Bible-believing church.
Follow the Lord in scriptual baptism.
Pray and not only read the Bible, but study it.
Carry out the great commission and let your life
be such that others can see Jesus in you.

Put Him first and then you too will know what I am
talking about, when I say that He is the center of
"My World."
