True Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time to say,
thank you, Lord, in every way.
Thank you for salvation free,
Thank you for your love for me.

Thank you for your patience, too
For we are never fair to you.
Thank you for the air we breath
and all the flowers and the trees.

Thank you for the gift of prayer
even though we forget you're there.
Coming to your throne of grace
Praises come from every race.

Thank you for our country, Lord
Keep us safe and in one accord.
Let our freedom ring out true
Because this is because of you.

Thank you for our friends and family.
As we come on bended knee,
Let us never fail to see,
The importance of the need of Thee.
