What Song Do You Sing?

The other morning, I couldn't help but notice
a Mockingbird, as it sang. These birds mimick
the songs of other birds, and sure enough in just a
minute he was singing a different tune. While sitting
there watching him, I thought how much like humans
they are in that, they appear to be something they are
not.
How many times have you had someone appear like
they are your friend, but only to find that as
soon as your back was turned they were the direct
opposite?
How much honesty is there in the human race and love?
This not only happens among so called friends,
but it also happens in families and in church.
Just like the Mockingbird singing different tunes,
I am sure that other birds are cautious
of them, because they do not know their true
identity.
Thus, in humans, when others talk two different
ways, people soon learn to be cautious of or stay
clear of such people. What is the reasoning behind
appearing to be something we are not? Does it make
a person feel more important, if they pretend?
Are they so miserable that they want others to be
likewise? What ever the reason is, it is predominate
in society and it is sad. What ever the reason, it
is sin.
I am sure that God is not pleased, when He sees such
actions, especially among His children. One may
pretend to be something they are not and they may
fool other human beings, but they can not fool God.
He sees all and knows what is in a person's heart.
Be careful of what you do and say and to your own self
be true. You can pretend to be what you are not and not
accept blame for what you do, but there is no escaping
the eye of God.
James 3:13-18
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you?
let him shew out of a good conversation his works with
meekness of wisdom.
But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory
not, and lie not against the truth.
This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly,
sensual, devilish.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and
every evil work.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then
peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy
and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them
that make peace.
