This world can sometimes be a pretty tough and cold place. It's often hard to feel safe and loved in an environment where most people fight for their own survival.

If you know God in an intimate way, He can provide for you a place of comfort and safety where you can be yourself and know that you are loved as you are.

He doesn't harm you, nor does He demand anything from you in order for you to receive His love.

He is the only place where you can feel totally safe and wanted.

Where you know that you count and are special – very special.

If you want to experience that love, just surrender your all to Him.

Let go of your fear, pride, anger and unbelief. He knows you better than you know yourself, and he loves you more than anyone else.

Intimacy With God

James 1:2-4

Your heavenly Father desires that you experience Him as a living God who is involved in your everyday life. He will use all kinds of occurrences to build your intimacy with Him because He wants you to know Him in His fullness.

The Bible explains that a “normal” life does not mean one that is problem-free. (Job 5:7) Life is full of difficulties to be handled and troubles to be overcome. Today’s passage tells how to maintain a positive outlook.

Remember that you are learning to know God in all His fullness. To know Him as Comforter means you must have need of comfort. In hard-to-endure situations, you discover He is a source of strength. His faithfulness is evident when others have been unfaithful. To know Him as wisdom is to recognize that you lack it or that the advice of someone else was unwise. The trustworthiness of God shines brighter when those around you are unreliable. Each of these situations, while bringing pain, can also be a source of joy as you discover more deeply who God is.

The greater your intimacy with God, the more you will understand His plan, His will, and His purpose. You will begin to sense the depth and breadth of His love for you, and a satisfying closeness will develop. Out of gratitude, you will begin living in ways increasingly pleasing to Him. Knowing God starts on the day of salvation and continues throughout eternity. Celebrate that you have a God who wants to be up close and personal.

Armor of God the Girdle of Truth:

I am God's child on God's journey, seeking and expressing only the truth. the sandals of the gospel of peace : i will be a peace maker; an instrument of peace. blessed are the peace makers. the breast plate of righteousness : this breast plate will protect me from responding to people and things emotionally. it will protect my emotions. the helmet of salvation : protect my mind and my thinking God, so that i can think only true thoughts, pure thoughts. the shield of faith : i place my trust in you God. no satanic powers can touch me. i am walking in faith, hope and charity. the sword of the Spirit : the sword of the Spirit is the word of God; when satan attacks i can deflate and ward off his blows. this is my offensive weapon.
