"Grow in grace"-not in one grace only, but in all grace. Grow in that root-grace, faith. Believe the promises more firmly than you have done. Let faith increase in fulness, constancy, simplicity. Grow also in love. Ask that your love may become extended, more intense, more practical, influencing every thought, word, and deed. Grow likewise in humility. Seek to lie very low, and know more of your own nothingness. As you grow downward in humility, seek also to grow upward-having nearer approaches to God in prayer and more intimate fellowship with Jesus. May God the Holy Spirit enable you to "grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour." He who grows not in the knowledge of Jesus, refuses to be blessed. To know Him is "life eternal," and to advance in the knowledge of Him is to increase in happiness. He who does not long to know more of Christ, knows nothing of Him yet. Whoever hath sipped this wine will thirst for more, for although Christ doth satisfy, yet it is such a satisfaction, that the appetite is not cloyed, but whetted. If you know the love of Jesus-as the hart panteth for the water-brooks, so will you pant after deeper draughts of His love. If you do not desire to know Him better, then you love Him not, for love always cries, "Nearer, nearer." Absence from Christ is hell; but the presence of Jesus is heaven. Rest not then content without an increasing acquaintance with Jesus. Seek to know more of Him in His divine nature, in His human relationship, in His finished work, in His death, in His resurrection, in His present glorious intercession, and in His future royal advent. Abide hard by the Cross, and search the mystery of His wounds. An increase of love to Jesus, and a more perfect apprehension of His love to us is one of the best tests of growth in grace.

    How to Walk With God

    Genesis 6:1-13

When you die, what epitaph would best describe your life? Would it read, “He was a good father”? How about, “She was the best friend anyone could have”? These are both wonderful testimonies to a life well spent, but neither is the highest praise one camazingould receive. One of the most honorable, admirable, and well-respected descriptions in the entire Bible appears in the book of Genesis. In chapter 6, we are first introduced to Noah. In contrast to the world of evil in which he lived, Scripture says that Noah was a righteous man. Not only was he “righteous,” but he is described in a unique manner: he “walked with God” (Genesis 6:9). What a wonderful testimony! And, what was his reward for his close walk with God? He and his family were spared the judgment that God placed on all of humanity. Because he stayed in step with the Lord, God remembered him and shed grace upon him when it counted the most. The account of Noah teaches us a very important lesson: when we walk alongside God, He will never lead us astray. Noah’s contemporaries certainly did not keep up with God’s stride. Rather, they were led by their own lusts and desires and therefore fell away into detestable lifestyles of sin. (James 1:13-14) Just as a trail guide leads a hiker safely through mountain terrain, God can lead us safely through this world of sin. Thank God today for His safe guidance, and ask that He help you keep in step with Him.

    Hi Everybody !

    MET IN THE STAIRWELL

You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news, Sept. 11, 2001. Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say "Good-Bye". I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say, "Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK. I am ready to go." I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children. I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a woman cried out to me for help. "I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years! I said "Of course I will show you the way home. Only believe on me now!

I was at the base of the building with the Priest ministering to the injured and devasting souls. I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He heard my voice and answered.

I was on all four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the believers there. Comforting and assuring them that their Faith has saved them.

I was in Texas, Kansas, London. I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me? I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name, though they did not all know Me. Some met me for the first time on the 100th floor. Some sought me out in their last breath. Some couldn't hear me calling to them through the smoke and flames. "Come to Me... this way....take my hand.

Some chose, for the final time to ignore Me. But, I was there.

Most of you were not in the Twin Towers that day. However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for me?

September 11, 2001 was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end. And I will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are "ready to go".

A guy is reading his paper when his wife walks up behind him and smacks him on the back of the head with a frying pan. He asks, "What was that for?" She says, "I found a piece of paper in your pocket with 'Betty Sue' written on it." He says, "Jeez, honey, remember last week when I went to the track? 'Betty Sue' was the name of the horse I went there to bet on." She shrugs and walks away. Three days later he's reading his paper when she walks up behind him and smacks him on the back of the head again with the frying pan. He asks, "What was that for?" She answers, "Your horse called."

  • Gods Plan

Because of Jesus' resurrection, his followers do not honor a dead founder They have a vital, personal relationship with him. Jesus Christ lives today and faithfully enriches the lives of all those who trust and obey him. Throughout the centuries, multitudes have acknowledged the worthiness of Jesus Christ, including many who have greatly influenced the world. French physicist and philosopher Blaise Pascal spoke of people's need for Jesus when he said, "There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every man, which only God can fill through his Son Jesus Christ."
