Crossfire Extreme Early Morning Thoughts David Meza Nov 14, 2002

As I sit here at my computer, at 2:40 in the wee hours of the morn, I can't help but wonder at relationships that teens have today. Don't ask me how I came about this subject at 2 in the morning, we may never find out. But what I can tell you is what my thoughts are on it. In todays society Teens and "Tweens" are being bombarded by sex, intimate relationships, and "love" whether it be by tv, magazines, radio, the church, whatever. The point is, that today many teens are getting into too serious of relationships. In Song of Solomon (Songs) 2:7 it says, "...not to awaken love until right." If you think that you love someone these emotions can overpower your reason and thinking. Today young people are are too often in a hurry to develop a real intimacy between their signifigant other that they rush into a relationship too early or one that may not be beneficial. In this verse it is telling us not to rush our love, feelings if you will, but to nurture them. If you force your feelings they will not be developed rightly, and the comitment needed to make a relationship work will not develop to a level to make a relationship last. You must patiently wait for the feelings of love and commitment to grow along with your relationship.

Thats my shpiel for the day, well the morning at least, until next time, Love Jesus, Love Life!

Off-the-church-walls Minister in Florida Kevin Sep 30, 2002

A minister in Florida lamented that it was difficult to get his message across to his congregation. "It's so beautiful here in the winter," he said, "that heaven doesn't interest them. And it's so hot here in the summer that hell doesn't scare them."
