The Joy Of Jesus
God gives "the oil of gladness
instead of mourning"
Isaiah 61:3
Genuine human joy is derived...it comes from Jesus
Himself. Real joy can only be born of the Spirit,
that which comes from a living oneness with the Giver
of all joy. The joy of Jesus is not created but
uncreated. It can only be received as a gift.
We may take credit for happiness but never for real
joy, it is all of God! Because of Jesus' joy!
He served...
*Give thanks for those who've served you
in a time of need.
*If it is more blessed to give than to receive,
it might also be more joyful to give than to receive.
*What has God given to you that you may in turn
use to serve others?
*Take the words of Nehemiah 8:10, "the joy of the
Lord is your strength", and apply them in faith
to an area of weakness.
*Remember a joyous experience with God. Tell
others what happened and thank God for His gift
of joyful memory.
*Pray...
for the joy of knowing Jesus to
strengthen you; to develop "eyes" to see the
needs of others; to experience the joy of Jesus in
serving others.
*Be...
a joy smuggler...see how many places you can
smuggle God's joy!
