Four Essential Truths
Do you want the joy of a personal relationship with God? Do you want to be confident that one day, He will welcome you into Heaven? Here are four essential truths you need to know!
Our Dilemma: We are by nature sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and judge. In our thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards.
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
Our Inability: We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned.
The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
Our Saviour: Because of His love for us, God provided Salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the human family, lived sinlessly, and died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.
God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Our Response: Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone who wants to be saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as God's children.
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Don't Make A Monkey Of Yourself!
A colorful folder advetising a series of books describing the most fascinating study of man's origin ever published. The slick advertisement suggests that through eons of time primitive matter evolved into living creatures that eventually became modern man. From this pseudo-scientific presentation one can only conclude that existence is the result of a chemical accident, and that life has no real purpose. Pathetic animals indeed! The Bible declares that man was brought into being by a special act of the Creator Himself, who breathed into him, "the breath of life" (Gen. 2:7). He was made in the image of God that he might live for Him and enjoy Him forever. If we believe we are the products of chance, however without meaning or destiny, our behaviour will merely reflect a concern for the"next banana." But because we are made in the likeness of God, our lives have significance. We are to manifest in thought, word, and deed the eternal glory and purpose of our Designer--the One who revealed Himself in Jesus Christ! Recognizing that you are created in God's image and are not just an animal, how will you live today?

A Puzzle For You
In this paragraph, there are 25 books of the bible! This is a most remarkable puzzle. Soneone found it in the seat pocket on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu, keeping himself occupied for hours. One man frim Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat. Roy Clark studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Victs mentioned it in her column once. One woman judges the job to be so involving she brews a cup of tea to help calm her nerves. There will be some names that are really easy to spot...that's a fact. Some people will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. The truth is, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it usually takes a minister or scholar to see some of them at the worst. Something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have. Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown. One revelation may help, books like Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers. And puctuation or spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete. Remember, there are 25 books of the bible lurking somewhere in this paragraph. Can you find them?
