The Simple Life
This is the day the Lord
has made; we will rejoice
and be glad in it.
{Psalm 118:24}
I was asked, if I had any words of wisdom to give to others,
on living a happy simple life, these are my thoughts for a life
of simplicity and happiness.
Life is precious, a blessing from God,
cherish each moment.
Guard your mouth. What you say will
follow you through life, so pick your words
wisely and think before you speak.
Be true to your job, remember it puts
food in your stomach and clothes on
your back.
Always spend quality and quantity time
with your family.
Be care ful in choosing aquaintances and
friends. Not all are sincere, use discernment.
If you have one true friend, consider them a
gift from God. True friendships are treasure beyond
all measure.
Never be afraid to say what you believe, no
matter if everyone agrees with you.
You will have good times and bad times.
You will relish in the good times, but try to remember
in the bad times, all those trials will give your feet
spiritual traction.
Be true to your word. Never say or promise anything
you are not able to follow through...be happy, always
carry a smile...a frown will only bring the spirit down...
a smile will lift it up.
Never do anything for anyone expecting a reward,
do it from your heart, for love of your fellow man.
Your rewards will come from God, in His time.
None of us are perfect, we all still stumble and fall.
Just remember, you don't have it all together, you never will,
nor do you need to, all you need to do is trust
God and let Him direct your life.
Jesus Christ gives life meaning, hope and reality,
and nothing the world throws your way can defeat you.
