The Lord's Baseball Game

Freddy and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game.
The Lord's team was playing satan's team.
The Lord's team was at bat, the score was tied zero
to zero, and it was the bottom of the 9th inning with
two outs.
They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to
the plate whose name was Love.
Love swung at the first pitch, and hit a single, because
Love never fails.
The next batter was named Faith, who also got a single
because Faith works with Love.
The next batter up was named Godly Wisdom. Satan wound
up and threw the first pitch.
Godly Wisdom looked it over and let it pass: Ball one.
Three more pitches and Godly Wisdom walked, because
Godly Wisdom never swings at what satan throws.
The bases were loaded.
The Lord then turned to Freddy and told him He was now
going to bring in His star player.
Up to the plate stepped Grace. Freddy said, "He sure doesn't look like much!"
Satan's whole team relaxed when they saw Grace.
Thinking he had won the game, satan wound up and fired his first pitch.
To the shock of everyone, Grace hit the ball harder
than anyonehad ever seen.
But satan was not worried, his center
fielder let very few get by.
He reached up for the ball, but it went right through
his glove, hit him in the head and sent him crashing on the
ground, then it continued over the fence for a home run!
The Lord's team won!
The Lord asked Freddy if he knew why Love, Faith and
Godly Wisdom could get on base but could not win the game.
Freddy answered he did not know why.
The Lord explained, "If your Love, Faith and Wisdom had
won the game you would think you had done it by yourself.
Love, Faith and Wisdom will get you on base, but only
My Grace can get you home.
(Psalm 84:11), "For the Lord God is a sun and shield, the Lord
will give grace and glory, no good thing will He withhold
from those who walk uprightly."
Jesus Test.
This is an easy test, you score 100 or zero.
It's your choice.
If you aren't ashamed to do this
please follow the directions.
Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be
ashamed of you before My Father."
Not ashamed.
Pass this on...only if you mean it.
Yes I do Love God. He is my source of existence
and Saviour. He keeps me functioning each and
everyday. Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
(Philippians 4:13)

New School Prayer!

Since the Pledge Of Allegiance
and The Lord's Prayer
are not allowed in most
public schools anymore, because
the word "God" is mentioned...a kid
in Arizona wrote the following...

Now I sit down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise,
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but first the Bible,
To quote the Bible makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such "judgements" do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make;
Should I be shot; My soul please take.

Genuine Love
Read:(Romans 1:18-32)

Nobody likes to be criticized.
It hurts even more when it comes from someone
who talks about us behind our backs.
In Romans 1:29-30, Paul called such people
"whisperers" and "backbiters".
He listed them among the proud, murderers, inventors of evil,
God-haters, and the like.
Whisperers are gossipers who secretely spread rumors, and
backbiters are those who talk spitefully about a person.
Tragically, some Christians are guilty of these sins.
They wouldn't run people down with their cars, but they willingly
"run them down" with their words, belittling what they say or do.
People who engage in these destructive acts don't see
the inconsistency of their behaviour and haven't taken to heart
the words of the apostle Paul: "Let love be without hypocrisy" (Romans 12:9).
Or, as one translator has paraphrased it, "Don't fake love".
We need to repent of our gossip and replace it with what
some may call "holy gossip".
That is, we need to talk enthusiastically about the transforming
work that Christ is doing in people's lives.
For example, "Have you noticed that Joe is a completely changed
person since he gave his life to Christ?"
Or, "I certainly see the Lord at work in Susan!"
Even as teens, in school, among our peers, how much
do we "whisper" or "backbite"?
How do we feel when or so-called friends "whisper"
or "Backbite" and it involves us?
We want to run and hide, our feelings are hurt,
and we sometimes are embarrased.
How genuine is your love?

Our words have the power to build up
or to tear down.

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth,
but what is good for necessary edification.
Ephesians 4:29

Obey Your Parents

Ephesians 6:1-3

Children obey your parents
in the Lord:For this is right
Honour they father and
mother; which is the first
commandment with promise
That it may be well with
thee, and thou mayest live
long on the earth
And, ye fathers, provoke
not your children to wrath:
bur bring them up in the
nurture n admonition of the lord
Servants, be obedient to
them that are your masters
according to the flesh, with
fear and trembling, in
singleness of your heart, as
unto Christ;
Not with eyeservice, as
menpleasers; But as the
servants of Christ, doing the
will of God from the heart.

A Puzzle For You

In this paragraph, there are 25 books of the bible! This is
a most remarkable puzzle. Soneone found it in the seat
pocket on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu, keeping
himself occupied for hours. One man frim Illinois worked
on this while fishing from his john boat. Roy Clark studied
it while playing his banjo. Elaine Victs mentioned it in her
column once. One woman judges the job to be so involving
she brews a cup of tea to help calm her nerves. There will
be some names that are really easy to spot...that's a fact.
Some people will soon find themselves in a jam, especially
since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. The
truth is, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it
usually takes a minister or scholar to see some of them at
the worst. Something in our genes is responsible for the
difficulty we have. Those able to find all of them will
hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown.
One revelation may help, books like Timothy and Samuel may
occur without their numbers. And puctuation or spaces in
the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete.
Remember, there are 25 books of the bible lurking somewhere
in this paragraph. Can you find them?

7 Wonders!
A group of students were asked to list what they thought
were the present Seven Wonders Of The World.
Though there were some disagreements, the following
got the most votes:
1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. Taj Mahal
3. Grand Canyon
4. Panama Canal
5. Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one
quiet student hadn't turned in her paper yet. So she
asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list.
The girl replied, "Yes a little, I couldn't quite make up
my mind because there were so many."

The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and
maybe we can help." The girl hesitated, then read,
"I think the Seven Wonders Of The World Are:

> 1. To touch
2. To taste
3. To see
4. To hear
(She hesitated a little, then added
5. To feel
6. To laugh
7. And to love."

The room was so full of silence you could have heard
a pin drop. Those things we overlook as simple and
"ordinary" are truly wondrous. A gentle reminder.. that
the most precious things in life cannot be bought!
I hope your life is filled with the World's Seven Wonders!
