Acts
3:19..." Times of refreshing shall come
from the presence of the Lord."
to
Shar's Times of Refreshing
If
you are discouraged, and need spiritual refreshing, you
have come to the right place. It is my prayer that you
will find inspiration and encouragement as you read these
pages.
When all seems hopeless~ never give up hope!

KEEP YOUR
PROMISE
Have you ever told someone you would do something for
them and then broke your promise?
Never make a promise unless you can keep it.

I hope you are ministered through this story called The
Red Wagon.
THE RED WAGON
It was the day
AFTER Christmas at a church in San Francisco. The pastor
of the church was looking at the manger scene, when he
noticed that the baby Jesus figure was missing from the
cradle.
He immediately turned and went outside and saw a little
boy with a red wagon walking down the street. And in the
wagon, was the figure of the infant Jesus. So he walked
up to the boy and said, "Son, where did you get that
little baby Jesus that's in your wagon?" The little
boy replied, "I got him from the church."
"And why did you take him?" asked the pastor.
The little boy replied, "Well, about a week before
Christmas,
I prayed to the little Lord Jesus. I told him if he would
bring
me a red wagon for Christmas, I would give him
a ride around the block in it."

TRUST IN JESUS
In the late
1800's Mrs. Louisa M.R. Stead watched as her husband died
while trying to save a drowning boy. As a response to her
struggle with the "why?" questions she asked
God during that difficult time, she wrote this familiar
hymn.
" 'TIS
SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS "
'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, Just to take Him at his
word Just to rest upon His promise, Just to know,
"Thus saith the Lord."
I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee, Precious Jesus,
Saviour, Friend; And I know that Thou art with me, Wilt
be with me to the end.
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I've proved Him o'er
and o'er! Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace to
trust Him more!
~Louisa M.R. Stead

It is my
prayer that you will find healing mentally, physically
and spiritually through faith in God and His Word.
Somehow through their pain, brokenness, and suffering,
people who have faith in the Lord survive.
Strength can come out of your
weakness.
Whatever you are going through I want
to encourage you to see yourself as a
"survivor", not a "victim."
Only you can change yourself, and how you respond to your
circumstances.

WHAT
REFRESHES YOU?
The New World Dictionary, second college edition,
describes refresh as "To make
feel cooler, or stronger. To revive or stimulate. To make
more energetic, to renew. Also, pleasantly new or
different."
Many of the things that make me stronger or renewed are
described on my pages.
Since this entire site is about times of refreshing, I'll
share some things that refresh and revive me.

~Reading a good book

~Hearing a baby's laugh

~Sharing memories with a friend

~Giving gifts to others

~Sending cards to cheer someone
